🎒 Backyard Baggers: The FAQ

  • Think of a Bagger as your Official League Player Card. It’s a unique digital character inspired by the classic 90s PC games we grew up with. Only 9,791 will ever exist. Owning one doesn't just give you a cool profile picture; it makes you a Part-Owner of the league.

  • In traditional apps, a big company makes all the rules. In our neighborhood, the players call the shots. Holding a Bagger gives you a seat on the Rules Committee (the DAO). You get to vote on:

    • New Features: Should we add a "Tournament Mode" or "Team Play" next?

    • Prizes: How should we distribute the rewards in the community vault?

    • Events: Where should we host our next real-life tailgate and tournament?

  • $BEAD is our "League Credit." You earn it by playing cornhole, winning matches, and participating in challenges on the dApp. You can spend it on gear upgrades, entry fees for big tournaments, or even exclusive physical merch.

Where does the $BEAD go when I spend it?

When you spend $BEAD (like for a tournament entry fee), those tokens are "Retired" (Burned). This means they are taken out of the game forever.

    • Why do we do this? It’s like a "Maintenance Fee" for the league. By retiring tokens, we make sure the $BEADs remaining in your pocket stay meaningful and the "League Vault" stays healthy.

  • The Vault (Treasury) is a community-owned bank account that collects a portion of all $BEAD used in the app. The Bagger Holders (the Rules Committee) are the only ones who can decide how to spend that money. Want to use it to sponsor a pro cornhole player or throw a massive party for the community? Put it to a vote!

Do I need a Bagger to use the App?

Anyone can play! But Bagger holders are the "VIPs." You get higher reward rates, exclusive voting rights, and early "Beta" access to every new feature we build on thecornholedap.com.

  • If you know how to throw a 16-ounce bag 27 feet, you’re qualified. We’ve built the dApp to be as easy to use as a digital scorecard. The "tech stuff" happens in the background so you can focus on hitting the hole.
